Welcome to the New Mexico Council on Photography website.
The great American photographer Ansel Adams called New Mexico "the most beautiful place I have every seen." Photographers have come here for the light, the land, the pueblos and the people. New Mexico's astonishing landscapes, its unique cultural heritage, and the great stories that emerge from the lives of it's people have made for some of the greatest photographs ever taken in the past 170 years".
Photography in New Mexico
The New Mexico Council on Photography nourishes photography at its sources, encouraging photographers, projects and publications and the museums that house wonderful collections. In this way, one of New Mexico's great culural legacies becomes of even deeper value for our citizens and visitors
NMCP BOARD
Current membership includes 10 people dedicated to the appreciation of photography. All the members have entensive backgrounds in the education, production, promotion and sales of fine art photography.
The Board always looks forward to helping and seeing the best of what New Mexican fine art photographers have to offer.
